Ability to respond to your own questions / debates
I think it would serve to increase the exchange and interaction by having the option to respond back to comments made to your posted questions or debates.

Adding this feature will cost me about $100 to pay the guys who coded the site for me. Whenever $100 becomes available, I’ll be happy to have this feature added to the site. Thanks guys!

Make the site mobile compatible (i.e. iPhone, Blackberry)
The site is barely functional on mobile platforms, such as iPhone's Safari and Blackberry's Browser. Make MQ usable on mobile platforms.

Add comments to discussion
It would be nice to have nested comments to others' answers. I am trying to leave feedback to a member re: a broken link.

Have users give more information on their profile.
It would be helpful to know more about the people who are offering advice. I would love to know how long people have worked in ministry, their education, group size, and even region of the country.
This would help to get some perspective on how similar one member's situation is to another member's situation. It would also allow us to know where a member is coming from in terms of background and experience.

Add ability to attach files to questions/answers
You can currently attach video and audio clips to your questions and answers. Add the ability to attach PDFs, Word Documents, PowerPoint files, and more for people to use in sharing resources.

Add title/link under each "Popular Video/Audio" on home page
The videos and audio clips on the home page are cool and all, but since many of the same people recording the views, it's hard to know which videos are newly popular and if I've seen them before or not.

Make the Description Limit Exceeded warning less disruptive.
As you might see from my title, I tend to use up my maximum number of characters. However, when you reach the limit in a description, it launches a warning window, and then puts your cursor at the beginning of the description. I'd suggest something more like Twitter, that allows you to fill an additional buffer so you can finish your thought and then go back and edit it down once you're done. Don't let someone publish a suggestion until they get down below the character limit. But don't disrupt their writing so severely as soon as they go over.

disable the "Related Questions" menu when typing a question
While tying a new question title, a drop-down menu appears underneath it showing a list of possibly related topics. This is meant to help prevent lots of duplicate content so people aren't answering the same questions over and over again.
However, it also seems to interfere with typing correctly. And I'm also not sure how effective it is in preventing duplicate content anyway. Most people seem to just post their question regardless of if it's been asked already.

allow limited HTML formatting in text boxes
The ability to emphasize text and create lists would be particularly helpful. If there's a way to leave out hyperlinks (to avoid redundant functionality) and limit it to only the most basic text formatting commands that'd be great!

allow uploading or embedding of videos.
Don't know how many ways there are to say this. But allow for the incorporation of videos other than just webcam footage for those of us Neanderthals who don't have a webcam. Occasionally I might be willing to break out the Insignia Flip Camera and record a quick response, but if I did, I can't upload it. If video's that important to the community you want to build here, open it up some.

Add a "BEST QUESTION" feature
instead of only giving each question an option for Best answer. We should enable the community to filter UP best questions. Popular may do this but, if members could rate a question on a sliding scale 1-4 then "tag" it as a "Best question" relative to Category then you could not only show most popular or most Hit, but actual most effective!
3 votesThe “Popular Questions” tab is populated based on the question’s rating, hits, and number of answers, but you’re looking for something that’s nominated for the popular/best list a bit more intentionally by users, right?
We added a “Best of Answers” to the front page of the site, too, but it’s only visible if you’ve enabled it under your account settings. But again, that box is dynamically populated based on some of the same statistics as the “Popular Questions.”

Don't just search whole words
A recent question about "fund raising" demonstrated that the site's search function searches only whole words. Searching for "fund" does not return questions with "fundraiser" or "fundraisers" in them. What's more "fundraiser" does not return results for questions that ask about "fundraisers" or vice versa.
Seems like this is a flaw in the search function, and will continue to result in a lot of duplicate questions.

Make a quick-glance way to tell if you've answered a question or not
It would be great to be able to glance at the list of questions and have a symbol or icon show up on the questions you've already responded to (similar to the Best Answer ribbon). This would make it easier on subsequent visits to go through and respond to things you hadn't yet, making it less likely that you miss questions.

Take out the unnecessary "More Questions" step
When you click on "More..." on the main page, it takes you to a "Recent Questions" page with ten questions on it. When you work your way down that list of ten questions, you click on the "More open questions" link, which takes you to a page with the same ten questions. And you have to click on "Next" to see the next ten questions.
Either put the page navigation links (<Previous 1 2 3 4 Next>) on the recent questions page, or make the "More Open Questions" link on the recent questions page take you to page two by… more

Add a "Recently Answered" tab for questions
Add a tab to the questions that displays the most "Recently Answered" questions. This tab shows the questions that were most recently updated or answered, with the most recent being listed first. This helps questions that might otherwise be buried come back to the surface. It also allows us to keep up with the question's on-going conversation.
Question: Should the tab read "Recently Answered" or "Recently Updated"?

Increase Character Limit on Answers
Hey, i'm a PHP developer myself. I'm not sure what language your site was coded in but I am quite confident that I could help with this feature for free if you would like to alter it. Just email me if you are interested.
I'm always having trouble reaching the maximum amount of characters. I don't think this is really a bandwidth issue since you are allowing videos (they are way more resource intensive than text). So i'm curious, I think the character limit should possibly be even double. At least a 1000 chars I would think. 750 isn't allowing… more

Tiny URL's
I think it would be helpful to have the ability to insert tiny url's like with Twitter into your Q and A's. This might be possible if you're an html junkie (I am not). Just a thought.

Separate "user awarded" points and "posting" points
Not separate them completely, but have an option that shows how many of the user's total points were awarded to them from other users for posting helpful and valuable questions or answers.
